Who we are
SMART Insight was born out of Richard Lloyd’s passion for Strategic Marketing and Retail Technology (hence the acronym SMART), and business acumen. The “Insight” came from the view that if the data, that most companies treat almost as a waste product of their operational systems, was harnessed correctly it could unlock a huge amount of information that could assist the company’s performance.
With these concepts in mind, a successful career in running my own retail business behind me, offering real life experience of the ideas that I had developed and a retail environment, particularly independent retail environment that was becoming desperate for help, SMART Insight was born.
Richard is the sole employee of the company. Additional resources and suppliers are brought in on a freelance basis as and when required.
